Development Metallurgist – pyrometallurgy, metal refining, minerals processing

Our client, a world leading manufacturer of speciality metals, materials and chemicals seek an experienced Metallurgist for a role in the Technical Department.

Candidates should have previous experience in pyrometallurgy, metal refining or a related mineral processing area, ideally with experience in catalysts materials, noble metals or precious metals.

The Role:
- Key role in developing new pyrometallurgy processes for refining and concentrating metals.
- Development and optimisation of new manufacturing processes.
- Project work at Lab, Pilot Plant and Main Plant levels.
- Work with a wide range of metals and metallic compounds.

The Candidate:
- Degree in Metallury, ideally a PhD in pyrometallurgy or related subject.
- Ideally experience in a commercial refining / pyrometallurgy environment.
- Able to manage multiple projects well and work with little supervision.
- Good communicator, both written and spoken.
