Our client, a leading international Materials Engineering, Research and Development organisation are seeking an experienced Laser Engineering / Processing Engineer to manage the organisations Laser Processing Group.

The Laser Processing group is a growing technology area and is well resourced with a wide range of current laser processing equipment. Clients come from across Industry, Academia and Governmental Organisations.

Candidates should have a good background in Laser Processing / Engineering with good experience in Project Management, Client Facing Business Development and R&D management within a multi-stakeholder environment.

Additionally, candidates should have experience in most of these technical areas: Laser Welding, Hybrid laser-arc welding, Laser Cutting, Laser Direct Metal Deposition, Laser Surface Engineering & Selective Laser Melting.


The Role:
- Responsibility for Leading the Laser Processing group.
- Focus on Business Development / Client Relationship Management, targets to be met.
- R&D project management.
- Technology development, consulting and management.

The Candidate:
- Ideally Chartered Engineer, or working towards it.
- Background in Materials or related discipline (Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Engineering)
- Recent good technical experience in Laser Processing (welding, drilling, cutting)
- Experience and enjoyment of  client facing business development.
