Our client, a leading international materials science and engineering consultancy, seek a Senior / Lead Technical Consultant with significant experience in specialist welding, joining, bonding and coating technologies.

Clients include the range of Industry, Academia, Government, International and NFP organisations.

Services include Contract R&D, Consultancy, Technology Development, Materials Technology Service Provision and Information management.

In addition to a significant expertise in these areas, candidates should have broad experience in commercial business management and leadership, e.g. R&D, project management, sales, marketing, department management.

Key technical areas are: Specialist joining / bonding (ceramics, polymers, micro-assemblies), Sol-Gel coatings, Laser welding, coating and processing, adhesives, electron beam welding etc.

The role offers the right candidate an enviable freedom to define and plan the future development of the department and take the lead role in implementing those business plans.
